Important dates
These are the deadlines for applying to the MA in Educational Leadership at Mills College:
Fall Term
- Deadline for domestic applicants (noninternational): January 31 (early decision)
- Deadline for international applicants (in U.S.): January 31 (early decision)
- Deadline for international applicants (outside U.S.): January 31 (early decision)
Spring Term
- Deadline for international applicants (outside U.S.): November 1

Application requirements
These are the necessary documents and prerequisites that are required when applying:
- Application fee
- Letters of recommendation (2-3)
- Transcripts from all institutions attended
- The Foreign Credential Evaluation is a required assessment of all transcripts and documents from non-U.S. accredited postsecondary education institutions. (Review the by country.)
- Personal statement

- TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo exam scores for applicants whose native language is not English

PASC prerequisites
Applicants interested in pursuing a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) as part of the MA in Educational Leadership program must meet the following prerequisites:
- Classified as a U.S. domestic student
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Passed all portions of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- At least five years of full-time teaching experience as a with the credential issued by California or issued by another state or with a designated subjects services credential (e.g., counseling, librarianship, school health, etc.)
- Students in their fourth year of teaching can apply
